CLARKE BROWN, DPT, OCS, ATC
Clarke has owned and operated BrownStone PT for over 20 years. His credentials include a certification in strength and conditioning, a license in Athletic Training, and the founder of a national training center for long distance running. Besides a physical therapy business, Clarke also manages 10 athletic training contracts with area high schools. He is very active in multiple civic and professional associations, locally and nationally.

MATT KEARNS, PT, DPT, Cert. DN, Cert. SMT, Dip. Osteopractic
Matt is the managing partner of the BrownStone Newark office and he leads the team there. Matt attended Marion Jr.-Sr. high school and went on to become an alum of Daemen College (Amherst, NY) where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Upon graduation, Matt began working as a physical therapist at BrownStone. Matt returned as a professor at Daemen College where he taught gross anatomy for 3 years in the Physician Assistant, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Training programs. In 2014, he returned to the BrownStone Clinics full time. In 2015, he earned his post doctoral diploma in Osteopractics and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Included in his post doctoral training was advanced training in spinal manipulation and soft tissue mobilization (IASTM).
KATIE SMITH, DPT, OCS
Katie Smith graduated from the University of Buffalo in 2005 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She also is a board certified specialist in orthopedics. She enjoys working with her patients to achieve their goals and to educate them on how they can help themselves to a faster recovery.
Katie lives in Victor with her husband and son. She spends her free time enjoying family, friends, and the outdoors.
Anna M. Besley, CPC Billing Manager
Anna received her CPC certification in 1991 and has been an employee of BrownStone Physical Therapy since 2003. Currently she serves as the Billing Manager and oversees the day-to-day operations of the billing processes, including credentialing of new Physical Therapists and keeping the staff informed of the updates regarding our billing software.

Tricia Moose, PT
Tricia Moose graduated with high honors from SUNY Upstate in 1997 with a masters degree in Physical Therapy. She has spent her entire career in the field of outpatient orthopedics, working with a variety of patient populations and diagnoses. Tricia joined BrownStone Physical Therapy in 2006.
Melissa Smith, Physical Therapy Aide
Melissa attended Geneva High School where she was a standout lacrosse player going on to play collegiately at MCC before moving on to play Division II lacrosse at Lindenwood University (Missouri). She graduated with a B.S. in exercise science with a minor in nutrition. She also coached club lacrosse during in her time in Missouri. After graduating from college, she returned to her roots in Geneva, NY and joined the BrownStone team as a physical therapy aide in 2015.
Michelle Reynolds-Fillion, Front Office Assistant
Michelle is a graduate of Pal-Mac central school and went on to study at MCC where she received her Associate’s Degree in Medical Information Technology. She has been a crucial member of the BrownStone team for 13 years serving numerous roles including transcriptionist and receptionist.
Melanie ZIMMERMAN, DPT
Melanie graduated from Ithaca College in 2012 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and minors in Spanish and Sports Psychology. She is originally from Williston, VT and enjoys taking trips back home to visit family. She enjoys running, snowboarding and traveling.
Betsy L. George-Jones, PT, DPT
Betsy completed her master’s in physical therapy degree at Ithaca College and her doctorate degree through the University of Montana. She has been with the BrownStone family since 2005. Her interests include athletic/ sports medicine related conditions, manual therapy, as well as pediatrics. She is the Coordinator for Clinical Education at our facility. Betsy lives in Victor, NY with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys coaching girls’ soccer at a local high school, officiating track and field and enjoying the outdoors.
Kelly Moran, Physical Therapy Aide
Kelly graduated from SUNY Oswego in 2011 with her Bachelor of Science in Health Science. She has worked for BrownStone Physical Therapy as a Physical Therapist Aide since graduation.
In her free time, Kelly enjoys spending time with family and friends, is very active in the local chapter of Alzheimer's Association, and enjoys the outdoors, as well as several sports including ice hockey, basketball, baseball/softball, and football.
Elizabeth Bradshaw, ATC
Elizabeth Bradshaw is from Rochester, where she attended Eastridge HS. She graduated from SUNY Brockport in 2013 with a double major in Athletic Training and Kinesiology. While at Brockport she played on their field hockey team for 4 years. Since graduating, Liz has continued to play as well as coach field hockey in her spare time. She enjoys working with young athletes to keep them healthy and on the field!
COURTNEY JEWELL, PTA
Courtney attended the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville, graduating in 2017 as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Originally from Warren County Pennsylvania, she participated in both soccer and track and field.
Sheila Brown, HR
Sheila brings over 20 years of experience in Accounting and business management to brownstone. She addresses HR and fiscal management to all of the offices. She graduated from Miami University in Ohio with a Bachelors degree in communications. She is also active with the Marcus Whitman school district, serving on the school board for 18 years. She is the proud mother of four children: Hayley, Maddie, Lane and Chase.
KASSY HELLER, ATC, LMT
Kassy, from Arkport, NY, graduated from Ithaca College in 2017 with a B.S. in Athletic Training. Along with being an ATC, she also has a Massage Therapy License. In her free time you can often find her spending time with friends, exploring the Finger Lakes, reading a book or visiting family. She likes working with the high school population because everyday is different, and it’s never boring!
