CLARKE BROWN, DPT, OCS, ATC
Clarke has owned and operated BrownStone PT for over 20 years. His credentials include a certification in strength and conditioning, a license in Athletic Training, and the founder of a national training center for long distance running. Besides a physical therapy business, Clarke also manages 10 athletic training contracts with area high schools. He is very active in multiple civic and professional associations, locally and nationally.

DAN BAJUS, DPT
Dan is the managing partner of the BrownStone Victor office and he leads the team there. He earned his Masters degree in physical therapy from Nazareth College and completed his Doctorate degree from Upstate Medical University in 2009. Dan has attended extensive continuing education in the areas of spinal care, spinal manipulation, and soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). He is actively involved in the fitness community helping athletes of all levels reach their goals.
Dan is personally invested in the Victor community by sharing his passion for helping people undergoing orthopedic rehab and promoting a healthy lifestyle. He lives in Victor with his wife and 3 boys and enjoys the outdoors, triathlons, yoga, and CrossFit.
MATT KEARNS, PT, DPT, Cert. DN, Cert. SMT, Dip. Osteopractic
Matt is the managing partner of the BrownStone Newark office and he leads the team there. Matt attended Marion Jr.-Sr. high school and went on to become an alum of Daemen College (Amherst, NY) where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Upon graduation, Matt began working as a physical therapist at BrownStone. Matt returned as a professor at Daemen College where he taught gross anatomy for 3 years in the Physician Assistant, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Training programs. In 2014, he returned to the BrownStone Clinics full time. In 2015, he earned his post doctoral diploma in Osteopractics and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Included in his post doctoral training was advanced training in spinal manipulation and soft tissue mobilization (IASTM).
KATIE SMITH, DPT, OCS
Katie Smith graduated from the University of Buffalo in 2005 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She also is a board certified specialist in orthopedics. She enjoys working with her patients to achieve their goals and to educate them on how they can help themselves to a faster recovery.
Katie lives in Victor with her husband and son. She spends her free time enjoying family, friends, and the outdoors.
ANDREW ENGELBACH-SCHAFFER, PT, DPT
Andrew graduated in 2014 from Daemen College with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Andrew is an avid athlete, having competed as a Division I swimmer at the University of Buffalo. In addition, he coached the masters swim team at University at Buffalo for 4 years, has coached national level triathletes, and was a member of the Buffalo Bills strength and conditioning coaching staff. Andrew brings his passion as an athlete to rehab and helps bridge the gap between injury and fitness. He enjoys swimming, biking, running, coaching, and working with athletes of all ages.
Bethany Bajus, Wellness Coordinator, Office Assistant
Bethany graduated from Nazareth College with a degree in Business Administration in 2006. Bethany is the Wellness Coordinator and manages memberships for the BrownStone Training Center. She can also be found at the front desk in the office working reception and scheduling appointments.
Bethany lives in Victor with her husband Dan and their three boys. When not in the office she can be found taking the boys to their various sporting events and music lessons. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially on the beach or on the slopes.
JULIE LOCEY, OFFICE ASSISTANT
Julie is the key to the front office running smoothly at BrownStone Victor. She manages day-to-day office operations such as scheduling, billing, and reception.
Julie lives in Macedon with her husband and two children. Julie enjoys camping with her family and going to her kids' athletic events.
Anna M. Besley, CPC Billing Manager
Anna received her CPC certification in 1991 and has been an employee of BrownStone Physical Therapy since 2003. Currently she serves as the Billing Manager and oversees the day-to-day operations of the billing processes, including credentialing of new Physical Therapists and keeping the staff informed of the updates regarding our billing software.

Alex Houghtalen, DPT
Alex graduated from Nazareth College in 2015 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While earning his undergraduate degree at Nazareth, Alex was a member of the DIII National Champion Volleyball team in 2011. He began work as an assistant coach to the Nazareth volleyball team in 2016 with a focus on strength, conditioning, and technique training. He still enjoys playing volleyball but stays active with basketball, biking, and snowboarding.
Tricia Moose, PT
Tricia Moose graduated with high honors from SUNY Upstate in 1997 with a masters degree in Physical Therapy. She has spent her entire career in the field of outpatient orthopedics, working with a variety of patient populations and diagnoses. Tricia joined BrownStone Physical Therapy in 2006.
Karen Coulombe, Physical Therapy Aide
Karen is a former Lyons Lion and graduated from FLCC with an associate’s degree. She has now been serving as a physical therapy aide for over 20 years. She has a certification in fitness counseling/personal training through AFAA. She has instructed numerous fitness classes and most recently instructed osteoporosis and arthritis classes both in Wayne and Monroe County. She has been part of the BrownStone difference for 12 years and counting.
Melissa Smith, Physical Therapy Aide
Melissa attended Geneva High School where she was a standout lacrosse player going on to play collegiately at MCC before moving on to play Division II lacrosse at Lindenwood University (Missouri). She graduated with a B.S. in exercise science with a minor in nutrition. She also coached club lacrosse during in her time in Missouri. After graduating from college, she returned to her roots in Geneva, NY and joined the BrownStone team as a physical therapy aide in 2015.
Michelle Reynolds-Fillion, Front Office Assistant
Michelle is a graduate of Pal-Mac central school and went on to study at MCC where she received her Associate’s Degree in Medical Information Technology. She has been a crucial member of the BrownStone team for 13 years serving numerous roles including transcriptionist and receptionist.
Melanie McCormick, DPT
Melanie graduated from Ithaca College in 2012 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and minors in Spanish and Sports Psychology. She is originally from Williston, VT and enjoys taking trips back home to visit family. She enjoys running, snowboarding and traveling.
Betsy L. George-Jones, PT, DPT
Betsy completed her master’s in physical therapy degree at Ithaca College and her doctorate degree through the University of Montana. She has been with the BrownStone family since 2005. Her interests include athletic/ sports medicine related conditions, manual therapy, as well as pediatrics. She is the Coordinator for Clinical Education at our facility. Betsy lives in Victor, NY with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys coaching girls’ soccer at a local high school, officiating track and field and enjoying the outdoors.
Kelly Moran, Physical Therapy Aide
Kelly graduated from SUNY Oswego in 2011 with her Bachelor of Science in Health Science. She has worked for BrownStone Physical Therapy as a Physical Therapist Aide since graduation.
In her free time, Kelly enjoys spending time with family and friends, is very active in the local chapter of Alzheimer's Association, and enjoys the outdoors, as well as several sports including ice hockey, basketball, baseball/softball, and football.
Elizabeth Bradshaw, ATC
Elizabeth Bradshaw is from Rochester, where she attended Eastridge HS. She graduated from SUNY Brockport in 2013 with a double major in Athletic Training and Kinesiology. While at Brockport she played on their field hockey team for 4 years. Since graduating, Liz has continued to play as well as coach field hockey in her spare time. She enjoys working with young athletes to keep them healthy and on the field!
Sheila Brown, HR
Sheila brings over 20 years of experience in Accounting and business management to brownstone. She addresses HR and fiscal management to all of the offices. She graduated from Miami University in Ohio with a Bachelors degree in communications. She is also active with the Marcus Whitman school district, serving on the school board for 18 years. She is the proud mother of four children: Hayley, Maddie, Lane and Chase.
